When owner Jim Karabagias opened his restaurant on Swan St, he was determined to share what Greek food really is.

Since opening Demitri’s Feast, Jim has undertaken several renovations, the most recent happening in 2017, and has a fully functional roof deck that is perfect for those warm summer nights.

From healthy breakfast to wonderful lunch dates, to night functions in the courtyard, Jim believes that all must be served “home-style”. He wanted his customers to experience great food served with TLC just like giagiá used to.

Staples on the breakfast menu include Greek rice pudding (Arborio rice poached in milk and vanilla bean then topped with figs); “Village toast” (roasted cherry tomatoes, tart, feta and sliced tomatoes snuggled on a crispy bread and a poached egg); and French toast (egg brioche with walnuts, cinnamon and yogurt showered with honey and orange blossom) to end some of their breakfast meals.

When you are planning your next night out on Swan St, drop by Demitri’s Feast, chances are you’ll see Jim behind the bar and you can get a taste of that famous greek hospitality.
