Sweet Bakes is Alisha Henderson's custom-cake studio, working out of Co.Bake Space at 239 Swan Street. It's known for hand-painted, watercolour-style designs, message cakes and celebration cakes, from the Slab Cake and Ruffled Heart Cake to buttercream blooms and lemon meringue.
Flavours run from chocolate Nutella crunch to a gluten-free passionfruit curd and almond, and there are pet-portrait cakes if you want your dog immortalised in buttercream. Henderson also runs decorating workshops in the space and has published a cookbook, Everybody Loves Cake.
